SC Villa captain Kenneth Ssemakula has left the club.
Ssemakula has spent three seasons with the Jogoos after joining from BUL and was the captain as the Jogoos lifted a 17th league title on Saturday when they beat NEC 2-0 at Lugogo.
In a statement released on his social media pages, Ssemakula thanked every one associated with the Blues and says he leaves with sweet memories.
“As I bid farewell, I leave with a heart full of memories and a sense of pride that we have accomplished together,” read part of the statement.
“The 17th title we clinched in the 2023/24 Uganda Premier League season will always hold a special place in my heart but is camaraderie, the friendship and the sense of belonging that I will cherish the most.”
He didn’t reveal his next destination but all signs point to a career outside Uganda.
