SC Villa have appointed three former players on the technical staff in a new set up at the club.
The 17-time Jogoos recently announced a new coach, Serbian Kovacevic Zeljko as the head coach.
In a statement on Monday July 21, Basena a former player at the club in the 90s and coached them alongside Mulitin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic in early 2000s as well as head coach in 2018/19 season is now the team’s Technical Director.
Dan Mubiru alias Mujapan and Hakim ‘Lei’ Ssenkumba have also been appointed team manager and youth team coach respectively – the two are former Villa players as well.
Another former player Sam Kawalya also returns to the club in the position of goalkeeping coach while Samuel Tusingwire is the performance analyst.
Villa finished last season in 6th place and were eliminated at the quarter finals in the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
