Days after announcing the arrival of Nemanja Milincic, SC Villa will be in the search for a new coach again.

The 17-time league champions confirmed the departure of the Serbian despite his unveiling on Friday last week.

“Now that the dust has settled, Sports Club Villa (“The Club”) informs its fans that its advanced contractual negotiations with Mr. Milincic Nemanja have regrettably been discontinued with immediate effect.”

“While an agreement in principle had been reached and a working relationship had commenced, a formal contract had not yet been finalized.” Read a statement from SC Villa President Omar Mandela

Meanwhile, the club confirmed that the search for a new head coach will continue

“The Club is very deliberate to ensure that it sets a strong foundation for it to be one of the great Clubs and a leading talent conveyor belt on the Continent. The search for a Head Coach for the next season continues and the Club fans shall be updated in due course.”

This website understands that Mandela wants a foreign tactician to take over reins at the record 17-time league champions.

SC Villa has been under six foreign coaches, others are Englishman Geoff Hudson, Spanish Antonio Flores, Greek coach Petros Koukouras, SC Villa after Milutin Micho Sredojevic (2002-04), Srdan Zivojnov (2010-11) and Dusan Stojanovic (2023-24).
