Uganda Cranes journey in the TotalEnergies Africa Nations Championship 2024 after a bitter 1-0 defeat to Senegal in the quarter final at Mandela National stadium, Namboole.
Oumar Ba scored the winning goal in the 62nd minute and the domestic Lions of Teranga held on to win the game and advance to the semi-final.
The Uganda Cranes were the better side for over ninety minutes but failed to break down an organised defending champions backline.
Despite the exit, the Cranes will be proud of their performance after reaching the knock out stages for the first time in seven attempts.
Focus will now shift focus to the Fufa Super Eight and the 2025/26 StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
The CHAN 2024 tournament continues with a semi-final and third place play off at Namboole while the other semi-final and final will be played in Dar es Salaam and Kasarani respectively.
