Rule 13: Ranking Teams
1) The award of points for each match played shall be three (3) points for a win, one (1) point for a draw, and zero (0) points for a loss for the following formats:
a) Single Round Robin Format
b) Double Round Robin Format
c) Group Matches of Mixed Format
2) The award of points for each match played in the Split League Format shall be as follows:
a) For Round-1 it shall be two (2) points for a win, one (1) point for a draw, and zero (0) points for a loss
b) For Round-2 it shall be two (2) points for a win, one (1) point for a draw, and zero (0) points for a loss
c) For Round-3 it shall be three (3) points for a win, one (1) point for a draw, and zero (0) points for a loss
3) The ranking of teams playing the formats in Rule 13 (1) and 13(2) for the positions on the table standing at all times shall be on the following priority order from top to bottom:
a) Total Number of Points Accumulated.
b) If Rule 13(3)(a) does not separate the teams, then the ranking of teams shall consider all matches in all the rounds between the tying teams and will be determined as follows:
i) Greater number of points obtained in the matches between the tying teams;
ii) Goal difference resulting from all the matches between the tying teams;
iii) Greater number of goals scored in all the matches between the tying teams;
iv) Greater number of away goals scored in all the matches between the tying teams.
c) Rule 13(3)(b)(iv) does not apply for single round robin format competitions
d) If Rule 13(3)(b) does not separate the teams, then the better team, between the tying teams, by virtual points will be ranked above the other(s). For purposes of this provision, virtual points shall be the one (1) extra point earned by the teams (for all matches played in all the rounds) that win their match by a 2-goal or more goal margin
e) If Rule 13(3)(d) does not separate the teams, then the better team, between the tying teams, by the difference between the Goals Scored against the Goals Conceded for all matches played in all the rounds will be ranked above the other(s).
f) If Rule 13(3)(e) does not separate the teams, then the better team, between the tying teams, with a superior number of Goals Scored for all matches played in all the rounds will be ranked above the other(s).
g) If Rule 13(3)(f) does not separate the teams, then the better team, between the tying teams, with an inferior number of fair-play points for all matches played in all the rounds will be ranked above the other(s). For the purpose of this provision, fair-play points will be calculated as 3 points for a red card and 1 point for a yellow card and totaled up per team throughout the competition.
h) If Rule 13(3)(g) does not separate the teams, then the FUFA Executive will take a decision to rank such teams including but not limited to tossing a coin for a tournament played with on a single round robin league format or a fully replay between the tying teams for the double round robin format.
