  • NEC vs Kitara – MTN Omondi stadium, Lugogo 7pm
  • Busoga United vs SC Villa – Fufa Technical Centre, Njeru 4pm

Three teams in the title race, Kitara, Villa and NEC are in action on Thursday as the league continues with neither ready to falter.

SC Villa, third on the log with 39 points visit Busoga United in the early kick off at Fufa Technical Centre, Njeru with a chance to close the gap on leaders to just two points.

The Jogoos miss key players Gavin Kizito and Misi Diego Ssemugera through suspension but have options to fill the gap like it has been the case whole season.

Busoga United are fighting to stay in the top tier as they lie 14th on the table with 17 points and come into the game on the back of a 4-1 defeat to KCCA.

Villa are unbeaten in the last eight league matches since a 2-1 defeat to KCCA while Busoga United have won just one game in the last ten matches.

In the later kick off under the flood lights at Lugogo, table leaders Kitara aim to continue their winning streak over NEC.

Both come into the game on the back of dropping points with NEC losing 1-0 to Wakiso Giants while Kitara drew goalless with BUL.

The hosts are currently 5th on the table with 37 points and a win will close the gap between them and Kitara to just four points.

However, a loss will all but end NEC’s quest for a title in their first season in the top tier.
