Uganda Cranes have qualified for the 35th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations due in Morocco.

The Cranes are top of Group K with 10 points with two rounds of matches to play.

South Sudan’s 3-2 win over Congo in Juba on Thursday mean the two remaining fixtures including the highly anticipated home duel with Bafana Bafana of South Africa are now dead rubbers.

Several UPL stars have been part and still on the journey including the nation’s leading scorer in the qualifiers, Denis Omedi of Kitara.

Uganda will top the group if they beat South Africa at Namboole on Friday even with results in their last match against Congo withstanding.
