Last season’s top scorer Muhammad Shaban has left KCCA.

The striker netted 17 goals last season to clinch the golden boot and was also named in the UPL XI.

“It is with a heavy heart that I announce my departure from this incredible club after two unforgettable seasons,” read part of the statement released on his social media pages.

Shaban’s scintillating form last season earned him a recall to the Uganda Cranes where he scored the winner in the win over Botswana and also played in the 2-1 defeat to Algeria – both matches at Namboole.

He is expected to be leaving the UPL for a second stint outside the country.
