URA 2-0 Kitara

Shariph Kimbowa and Ivan Ahimbisibwe scored two first half goals as URA downed Kitara, who were playing their first game under new coach Wasswa Bbosa, 2-0 at Nakivubo on Friday.

Ahimbisibwe even had the luxury of missing his second penalty effort in the second half of this StarTimes Uganda Premier League match but that did not affect the Tax Collectors’ day.

Kimbowa put URA ahead four minutes to half time when he tapped home from close range a brilliant low cross from Joseph Ssemuju down the left.

Ahimbisibwe then scored his fifth of the season and URA’s second of the day from a penalty spot in added time of the first half.

The striker could have made it 3-0 but skied his second penalty effort eight minutes to full time. Nevertheless, the day’s job had already been done for URA.

URA’s third win in seven matches has them in fifth on 11 points, while Kitara, who recently sacked coach Brian Ssenyondo over poor results, continue to struggle in third from bottom on only four points.
