SC Villa and joint record holders Express crashed out of the Stanbic Uganda Cup after defeats to Kitara and BUL respectively.
Kitara won 2-0 at the Masindi Municipal stadium with late strikes from Frank Tumwesigye Zaga and Paul Mucureezi.
The goals arrived in the 82nd and 86th minutes respectively to send the Jogoos out.
Express failed to convert two of their penalties to crash out 4-1 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in normal time.
Action in the competition round of 16 continues on Monday with two big fixtures as KCCA visit URA while Soltilo Bright Stars host Police at Kavumba.
