SC Villa and Kitara have learnt their TotalEnergies Caf Champions League and Confederation Cup opponents respectively.
The draw pitted the Uganda Premier League champions against Ethiopia’s Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE) in the preliminary round.
In case the Jogoos overcome the Ethiopian side, Villa will face the winner between Burundi’s Vital’O or Tanzania’s Young Africans in the second round with a chance to reach the group stages.
Uganda Cup winners will take on an opponent from Libya and in case they get past that, they will face Egypt’s Al Masry with the winner qualifying for the group stages.
The matches will be played on August 16-18 and 23-25, 2024 in the first preliminary.
KCCA is the only club to have played in the lucrative stages of both competitions while Vipers played in the Champions League group stages.
