SC Villa and Entebbe UPPC clinched home victories on Thursday against URA and Express respectively.

In Bugonga, hosts Entebbe UPPC scored twice in the second half to beat Express 2-0 in a game they dominated.

Following a goalless first half in which the hosts wasted opportunities, Noordin Bunjo broke the deadlock in the 55th minute and Ambrose Kigozi sealed victory for the Printers in the 73rd minute.

The win lifted Abdallah Mubiru’s side to 5th place with 17 points while Express drops to 8th position with 12 points.

At Fufa stadium, Kadiba, SC Villa walloped URA 3-0 thanks to goals from Man of the Match Misi Diego Ssemugera, Najib Iga and Frank Mulimi.

Despite missing several key players, Villa were dominant on the day and victory keeps them in proximity with KCCA with both on 20 points, Villa in second place on inferior head-to-head with the Kasasiro.

URA are now in 9th position with 11 points after two wins, five draws and three defeats so far.

The premier league will continue on Friday with Maroons visiting Kitara in Hoima and NEC visiting KCCA at Lugogo in a late kick off.
