Reigning champions Vipers take on league debutants Calvary in a rescheduled fixture at Midigo P/S Play Ground on Tuesday without three national team players.

Forward Allan Okello plus defenders Rogers Torach and Hilary Mukundane travelled with the Uganda Cranes to Morocco for the team’s preparations for Afcon 2025.

They are joined by Fred Muhumuza, their assistant coach who replaced Sam Ssimbwa as the new Uganda Cranes assistant to Paul Put.

Vipers dropped points in a 1-1 draw with NEC last week and the game against Calvary provides opportunity to get back to winning ways and then on top of the group.

Despite the absence, the champions have options in Karim Watambala, Yunus Sentamu, Usama Arafat and skipper Milton Karisa in attack will while Grant Masiko, Paul Mbowa, Livingstone Mulondo, Nicholas Wadada and Ashraf Mandela are viable options at the back with Mukundane and Torach being out.

Calvary are at the bottom of the table with one point and are the only team without victory this season.
