Match day 19 of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League begins with three fixtures with Vipers, Kitara and Express all playing away on Thursday.

At Kavumba will be the table leaders Vipers when they visit Police aiming to pull away from second placed NEC who are not in action until the following day.

The Venoms edged the reverse fixture 2-1 at Kitende but find a more desperate side as the 2005 champions aim to end a long winless run.

Vipers, on 43 points will open a six point gap with a win while 13th placed Cops will open a 10-point gap between them and the sides in the relegation zone.

At Lugazi, the hosts could complete their first top flight double if they beat Express FC.

Lugazi stunned the Red Eagles at Nakivubo in the first round fixture for their first win of the season and come into the game more confident after losing just twice at home this season.

The visitors beat Wakiso Giants 4-1 in their last outing and will hope to build on that and climb into the top three.

Lugazi are 11th with 20 points while seven-time champions, Express are 5th with 28.

In the late kick off on the day, BUL host Kitara at Hamz stadium, Nakivubo in a clash of the most on form sides in the division.

Bul, winners of the reverse fixture in Butema are 3rd with 29 points while Kitara follows closely with a point less in 4th place as either side hope to close in on NEC in second place.
