Vipers make a trip to Bombo to face UPDF aware that a win will open a four-point gap between them and second placed NEC.

The Venoms, on 28 points are a point ahead of Hussein Mbalangu’s men who are not in action until Saturday when they host Mbarara City at Lugogo.

With KCCA dropping points at Police, the gap between them and Vipers will widen to a further seven points on the day if the visiting side win in Bombo, a place where not many have managed to pick a point.

UPDF, managed by ex-Vipers coach Paul Kiwanuka are 10th on the log with 17 points and are yet to lose a home match this season.

Vipers will be confident of getting the three points as they have won the past four meetings and are unbeaten in the past 14 meetings with the army side.

At Lugazi, the Najjembe derby is on as BUL lock horns with Lugazi.

BUL, 11th on the 16-team log with 16 points are winless in the past five consecutive matches and will lose their position to Lugazi in case the falter.

Lugazi occupy 13th place with 13 points and want to pull away from being close to the relegation zone.
