The attacker scored in the ninth minute when he headed in off a cross from the right before stabbing home his second on 16 minutes after Mbale Heroes goalkeeper Paul Mujampwani spilled the ball.

Ahimbisibwe completed his hat-trick on 33 minutes when he controlled well inside the penalty box before firing home. Bwangani added the icing on the cake by driving home the fourth outside the 18-yard box just before the hour.

That was URA’s second win in four matches and lifts them up to third place on seven points, three behind leaders KCCA, while Mbale are 12th on three.

Later under the Kitende floodlights, Vipers had to come from behind to beat title rivals Villa 2-1.

Villa’s second defeat of the season has the Jogoos in ninth on six points. The blues took the lead on 36 minutes when Kiwanuka finished off a quick passing move with a thunderous strike inside the penalty area.

Vipers immediately hit back thanks to a poor pass from a Vipers defender, which Milton Karisa stole and crossed low for Sentamu to equalise on 38 minutes.

Torach completed Vipers comeback with the winner on 53 minutes when he turned in a corner from the right.
