St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende will be the place to be on Saturday under the lights as Vipers and Kitara lock horns in the first leg of the Stanbic Uganda Cup semi-final.

The Venoms, table leaders and two wins away from claiming from the 2024/25 premier league title want to use the first leg to establish advantage as they aim for a double.

For holders Kitara, the objective will be to leave Kitende with a result they can build on at Royal Park Butema in the second round.

Wasswa Bbosa is blessed to have defender Benjamin Nyakoojo return from injury as well as forwards Patrick Kaddu and George Senkaaba who are back from a two-match suspension after their involvement in the chaotic quarter final win over Bul.

Vipers could rejiggle their squad like they have done in the past Cup matches with goalkeeper Denis Kiggundu, right back Grant Matsiko and Angolan midfielder Sukuya likely to start.

The hosts were eliminated from the Stanbic Uganda Cup last season by Kitara and will look to avenge that.
