Vipers captain Milton Karisa and coach Jacky Ivan Minnaert believe they can overturn a 2-1 deficit from the first leg to reach the 2025/26 Caf Champions’ League group stages.
Vipers trailing from the first leg means they must win 2-0 in Ndola to overturn the result.
“I feel like we didn’t show our best selves for 90 minutes in the first leg and it kind of cost us,” Karisa said. “If we have no belief for Power Dynamos, we have no chance. We have to believe in ourselves going into the second leg. We’ve got to believe — let’s do it together, Venoms,” he stressed.
His coach Jacky Ivan Minnaert is also adamant that they can pull it off in Ndola.
“The positives we carried on from the first leg is that we have 90 minutes to play,” Minnaert said. “Power Dynamos showed their hunger. I think we have the ability, we certainly have the quality, and now we have to prove it.”
“Hopefully we have learned and can show the composure, the determination, and the belief that is very important,” he added. “Tomorrow, we know what we are going to face, and it’s going to be tough. So, to my players — be very focused, very determined, and go for it.”
They will to battle without suspended Congolese defender Kevin Baddy Daslyva giving chance to Rogers Torach to slot in at the heart of defence alongside Hilary Mukundane.
Vipers Probable XI:
Kiggundu (GK), Mandela, Mukundane, Torach, Luyima, Taddeo, Watambala, Ssebagala, Okello, Odili, Yunus
