- Bright Stars vs Police – Kavumba 4pm
- Vipers SC vs Lugazi – Kitende 7pm
Match day 22 of the StarTimes UPL gets underway on Thursday with two fixtures on card, both in Wakiso.
First, Soltilo Bright Stars host Police in a highly anticipated Kavumba derby as the hosts aim to get back to winning ways and improve survival chances.
The hosts were walloped 5-0 by KCCA last week but coach Ian Mutenda picked positives from the second half performance which he hopes to build on again the Cops who blow hot and cold.
Mutenda’s men are second from bottom with only 12 points while Police are 12th with 23, eleven more than their day’s opponents.
The reverse fixture this season ended in a 1-1 draw at the same venue.
In the late kick off, table leaders Vipers host debutants Lugazi aiming to bounce back from defeat to Villa on Saturday that saw their lead trimmed to just two points.
Milton Karisa could return to the team after missing from all second round matches due to injury and so is Karim Watambala who missed the Villa game due to suspension.
Lugazi saw their good run also ended by a 1-0 loss to Maroons at Najjembe.
With second placed NEC not in action until Friday away to UPDF, the Venoms will re-establish a five point gap
