Vipers SC continue to dominate the transfer market with the unveiling of forward Kenneth Kimera on a two-year contract.
“Vastly talented striker Kenneth Kimera has signed, and subsequently been unveiled by six-time Uganda Premier League champions Vipers Sports Club,” a statement on the club website read.
“Kimera, who played for Wakiso Giants FC last season, has put pen to paper on a two-year employment contract with the Venoms, that will run till the 2025/26 season with an option to extend.”
Reigning champions SC Villa were also interested in acquiring the services of the player nominated for the UPL awards in the Young of the Player of the Year category but were outpriced.
Kimera is the third new arrival at Kitende in a space of four days after left back Derrick Ndahiro and Angolan winger Pedro Honjo alias Sakuya.
The Venoms resumed preparations for the new season on Friday under Serbian Nikola Kavazovic who also joined the club earlier this week on a two-year contract.
For the first time in over five years, Vipers finished the season trophyless and want to reclaim top sport next season.
