- MTN Omondi stadium, Lugogo 7pm
NEC will be wounded when they host Police at their fortress, the MTN Omondi stadium, Lugogo, a match that begins match day 8 of the Premier League.
Hussein Mbalangu’s charges come into the game on the back of a stunning 1-0 defeat at Lugazi which saw them relinquish top spot to KCCA.
“We can’t dwell on the past and so we have moved on from that loss,” said Mbalangu. “The boys are mentally fit and playing at home, we shall aim to bounce back,” he added.
With 15 points, a win will take NEC back to the summit of the league but must do extremely well against a good Police side.
For the 2005 champions Police, a win will take NEC within two points of NEC as of current, they lie 7th with 10 points and head into the game on the back of a 2-1 win over Mbale Heroes.
