  • Kitara vs NEC – 4pm
  • UPDF vs Lugazi – 4pm
  • Vipers vs Express – 7pm

The StarTimes Uganda Premier League match day two commences on Thursday with three highly anticipated fixtures on card.

At Butema in Hoima, table leaders Kitara host NEC in an early top of the table clash.

Either team won their league opener with Kitara overcoming Lugazi 3-0 at Lugazi while NEC beat one of the title favourites Vipers 3-1 at Lugogo.

Last season’s meetings between the two sides ended with victory for Kitara in Masindi and a win for NEC at Lugogo before the former lifted the Uganda Cup at the expense of the Bugolobi based side.

At St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende, wounded Vipers host rivals Express in a fixture the hosts want to win badly after a false start.

Nikola Kavazovic is aware that failure to win could lead to his dismal early from the Kitende host seat.

Express will be confident after their 2-1 win over Mbale Heroes on Monday.

Elsewhere, UPDF and Lugazi seek to get off the mark when they face off at Bombo.

The army side picked a point in their opener drawing 1-1 with Maroons while Lugazi was thumped at home by on fire Kitara.
