Gaddafi 0-1 Busoga United
Ten-man Busoga United claimed the Jinja derby bragging rights and points when they beat Gaddafi 1-0 on Tuesday to go eighth on the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) table.
Isaac Doka Mweru scored the all-important goal on the stroke of halftime at the Gaddafi Arena to ensure Busoga left with all three points.
Mweru and his partner Basham Mugwa caught Gaddafi players flat-footed, bamboozling Willis Otong in a one-on-one situation before the forward fired home on the far post.
Busoga finished the game with 10 men after their captain Charles Mulanda earned a second yellow card.
Mulanda could probably attract more sanctions from the Fufa Competitions Disciplinary Panel after head-butting the centre referee Tumusiime Tuge.
The derby victory lifts Busoga to eighth with seven points while Gaddafi remain 12th with only three.
