Arua Hill 0-1 SC Villa
SC Villa became the first team to beat Arua Hill at the Barifa Stadium in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League this season after the Jogoos secured a 1-0 victory on Saturday.
Charles Bbaale scored the winning goal from a penalty spot after Arua’s Richard Matovu was sent off for handling in the box four minutes into the second half.
Villa’s fifth win in eight matches would have sent them three places up to second on 16 points, but a sanction of two deducted points and as many goals on Friday for last week’s fan violence at the Jogoos home defeat to Wakiso Giants meant they will not.
Instead, coach Jackson Magera’s boys moved just one place up to dislodge KCCA from fourth on 14 points.
For Arua Hill, it is getting worse. After going unbeaten in their first three games, the Kongolo have now lost three on the trot. They remain seventh on 10 points.
