The Premier League match day twenty-four comes to conclusion with a clash of the titans as table leaders Vipers host second placed NEC.

The hosts are above on 53 points, two better than NEC who are aware that defeat will all but end their maiden title pursuit.

Six-time league winners salvaged a late point in the 2-2 draw with Express in their last game despite going two-nil down at halftime and will hope to build on that attitude.

For NEC, it was even harder. First, they went down to an early Kabon Living goal and despite equalizing immediately, their star player Enock Ssebagala was sent off for a second bookable offence and he will miss the Kitende showdown.

Vipers will hope returning Milton Karisa, Allan Okello and Karim Watambala show up in lethal mood while the visitors will turn to Allan Mugalu, Marvin Kavuma, Muzamir Mutyaba and Paul Mucureezi for inspiration.

The hosts are yet to lose a home game this season drawing only three and will hope that record extends at the expense of NEC who have picked just four wins on the road despite losing just two.

Hussein Mbalangu’s men won the reverse fixture 3-1 at Lugogo on match day one but lost the corresponding fixture 4-1 at Kitende last season.
