  • Kitara vs Express โ€“ Royal Park Butema โ€“ 4pm
  • SC Villa vs Mbarara City โ€“ Fufa stadium, Kadiba 8pm

The penultimate match day of the first round comes to conclusion this Wednesday with two fixtures involving two giants Express and SC Villa.

The Red Eagles make a trip to Bunyoro to face Kitara aiming to build on their impressive 3-1 win over Buhimba United Saints.

Coach Kintu will hope his forwards maintain the same form as they had last week but they face a completely different opponent in Kitara who were held in a thrilling -3 draw by NEC in their last game.

Former Red Eagles in Emmanuel Wasswa, Frank Tumwesigye and John Byamukama among others turn guns against their former bosses.

At Fufa stadium, Kadiba, 17-time champions SC Villa host troubled Mbarara City aiming to bounce back from a 2-1 defeat to BUL last week.

Villa will be favourites against a side who played without substitutes in their goalless draw with NEC and have suspended four key players including goalkeeper Fahad Emuran, midfielder Ibrahim Thembo and striker Henry Kitegenyi.

The Jogoos will also be desperate to keep within touching distance of the leading pack.

Nevertheless, Villa must wary of the threat the determined Lions who have lost just once in the past five matches drawing the rest.
