Kyetume’s 4-3 victory over Mbarara City was the pick of the day as four StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) matches produced 15 goals.
Proline’s 3-1 win at home to Bul was also commanding as they kept in touch with other relegation candidates.
Youngster Rogers Mato scored a brace for Proline and Mustafa Mujuzi the other as they moved to 18 points, although they remain rooted at the table basement.
In the other big game Ambrose Kirya scored the the goal as SC Villa edged Onduparaka 1-0 to consolidate third on 40 points.
In the Kyetume match, Robert Ssentongo continued leading Kyetume’s charge for survival, scoring for the fourth game in a row in all competitions.
The striker scored a brace before assisting Feni Ali’s winner as they moved to 26 points four ahead of 14-placed Police. Deo Isejja scored the other Kyetume goal.
Brian Ahebwa scored a brace for Mbarara City while Steven Otieno got Mbarara’s goals.
Express also dismissed Tooro United 2-1 to move on 27 points. Frank Senyondo and Frank Kalanda the goals for Express, while Mike Kawooya got Tooro’s consolation.
