UPDF 3-1 Gaddafi

The UPDF are two places out of relegation following a comfortable 3-1 victory over fellow army side, Gaddafi, on Wednesday.

Rogers Adriko relished in a hat-trick at Bombo Military Barracks Stadium for the home side to claim only their second win of the season.

Brian Kalumba got Gaddafi’s consolation as the seventh-placed visitors suffered their fifth defeat in 13 StarTimes Uganda Premier League matches.

UPDF’s only second victory moved them one place up and two out of relegation to 12th on 10 points.

Pilsner Man of the Match, Adriko, scored his first of two penalties in the hat-trick on the second and the next on 32nd minutes.

Gaddafi reduced the deficit on 66 minutes through Kalimba but Douglas Oyirwoth set up Adriko for the forward to complete his hat-trick and seal UPDF’s victory four minutes to full time.
