Busoga United 0-1 KCCA

Sadat Anaku scored his second goal of the season to help KCCA record their third straight StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) victory on Tuesday.

The 1-0 away win at Busoga United sees coach Morley Byekwaso’s boys top the table on nine points, with Vipers – who have played a game fewer, second on six.

The game was also monumental for defender John Revita, who returned from injury after 21 months out.

Midfielder Yassar Mugerwa also started his first game for the club, while notable names like Geoffrey Wasswa and Julius Poloto started on the bench.

Busoga had some good spells with the ball but could not hurt the visitors.

Yet, KCCA could also have scored more but Davis Kasirye headed straight at the goalkeeper and wide in the first half.

But the guests had skipper and goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan to thank after he pulled off a crucial save to deny Busoga’s Ntege Anwar to keep it goalless in the first 45 minutes.

However, it is KCCA who took the lead, Brian Majwega and Innocent Wafula interchanging quick passes before Anaku tapped home the latter’s cross on 68 minutes.
