Arua Hill 4-2 Wakiso Giants
Home side Arua Hill hit Wakiso Giants 4-2 to move one place up to fifth in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) table on Wednesday.
Rashid Kawawa got the hosts out of the blocks early, scoring a fourth minute goal off a Samuel Sekamatte assist at Barifa Stadium.
Alfred Leku doubled Arua’s advantage four minutes later, Ibrahim Magandazi providing the assist this time.
It was threatening to get out of reach for the Giants now, with Kawawa grabbing his second and Arua’s third on 14 minutes, Ivan Eyam the provider.
The striker, also named Pilsner Man of the Match, then completed his hat-trick, thanks to Wahab Gaddafi’s assist, seven minutes to half time for a 4-0 lead.
The second half was a damage limitation job for the visitors.
And they succeeded in that, Titus Sematimba and Sam Ssenyonjo grabbing two goals off Grant Matsiko and Sharif Kimbowa’s assists.
Arua Hill’s ninth victory in 19 matches have the league newcomers flying in fifth on 32 points, while Wakiso are two places and five points below.
