Monday result

Busoga United 0-1 Arua Hill

It was a reverse of fortunes as Arua Hill edged Busoga United in Monday’s lone StarTimes Uganda Premier League match.

The West Nile side, Arua Hill, beat their hosts 1-0 at the Fufa Technical Centre, Njeru, with Reagan Mpande scoring the only goal on 33 minutes.

While Arua Hill successfully bounced back from last week’s 1-0 defeat to BUL, Busoga failed to capitalise on their 3-2 victory over Wakiso Giants, here.

Monday’s was Arua Hill’s sixth win in 12 matches, lifting them two places up to sixth on 19 points.

Arua Hill’s Rogers Omedwa’s solid performance earned him the Pilsner Man of the Match accolade.

This was Busoga’s ninth defeat, the most in the league, in 12 matches.

The defeat left the Jinja outfit second from bottom on six points.

They should have nine points from their three wins but were deducted three points and as many goals because of fan violence.
