Arua Hill 4-1 Express

Arua Hill ruthlessly dispatched Express 4-1 at Barifa Stadium to enter the top four on the StarTimes Uganda Premier League table on Wednesday.

Wahab Gadafi hit a brace, with Rashid Kawawa and talisman Innocent Media scoring the other goals for the home side.

Anwaru Ntege scored Express’ consolation in what was the Red Eagle’s disappointing eighth defeat in 24 matches.

Wahab got his first goal on 12 minutes before Kawawa doubled the Kongolo’s advantage on 26 minutes. Ntege reduced the deficit for Express on the half-hour.

But there was no stopping Arua Hill’s ascendency, star man, Media, restoring their two-goal advantage with his eighth goal of the campaign on 57 minutes.

Only Allan Kayiwa of Express (11), Villa’s Charles Bbaale (10) and Fred Amaku (10) of Maroons have scored more.

Wahab added the icing on the cake, his second goal making it 4-1 with a quarter of the game to play.

Arua Hill’s 11th win of the campaign moved them two places up to fourth on 37 points, nine behind leaders Villa. Express remained stuck in 10th on 30 points.
