Bright Stars 2-1 Nyamityobora

Police forward Juma Balinya moved his goalscoring spree to new heights, grabbing a hat-trick as the Cops came from behind to beat Paidha Black Angels 4-2 at Lugogo on Wednesday.

The hattrick took Balinya’s tally to 16 StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) goals.

Two of those goals came from penalties, the first after Simon Mbaziira was brought down while the second came after Ronald Nyanzi’s effort was charged down with the help of a hand by a Paidha defender.

His thrird was a typical Police goal, Balinya exchanging passes with substitute Johnson Odong, the latter dumming Ruben Kimera’s cross for Balinya to stab home for a 3-2 lead on 90 minutes.

In between Jackson Nsubuga and Yusuf Ssozi had given Paidha a 2-1 lead with well taken strikes.

But Police captain Paul Willa put the result beyond Paidha in added time with a stunning strike into the bottom corner of the net after a run from the right.

The victory moved Police to ninth place on the 16-team log.

Elsewhere, second from bottom Nyamityobora fell to a brace from Nelson Senkatuka as Bright Stars ran away 2-1 winners.
