Vipers SC striker Fahad Bayo and Maroons tactician Douglas Bamweyana have scooped Pilsner player and coach awards for the month of September.

The two picked up their awards at a ceremony held at Kati-Kati Restaurant in Kampala on Monday morning.

Bayo beat SC Villa midfielder David Owori and Maroons striker Steven Mukwala to the accolade.

He has been in fine form since his move to Vipers from Buildcon in Zambia, scoring three goals in the two games played during the month.

Maroons coach Bamweyana beat his successor at club SC Villa coach, Edward Kaziba.

Maroons are currently in the top six on the log after winning three games in a row in September.
