Express president Bbaale Mugera has written to Fufa notifying the local soccer authorities of a major overhaul at the club.

The biggest of the changes has seen hitherto club chairperson Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi being replaced by Hajji Hassan Bulwadda, who takes over in interim capacity.

“We want to improve on the running of the club by also making changes in the technical wing,” wrote Mugera.

“We are aiming at helping the club avoid relegation because we are currently at the bottom of the league table.”

Express, already out of Uganda Cup at the expense of minnows Kitara, will hope to get enough points from the remaining fixtures to avoid relegation.

The Red Eagles are left with ties against Proline, Police Soana, Vipers and Kirinya Jinja SSS.

Others are Mbarara City, UPDF, Maroons, KCCA, URA, SC Villa and Masavu.

Express have never been relegated from the national league.
