SC Villa 3-0 URA

SC Villa coach Wasswa Bbosa is a happy man after his side finally opened their taps upfront as they thrashed URA 3-0 on Wednesday.

Martin Kizza was the star man, helping himself to a brace,  including an individual brilliant effort for his first, with substitute Yubu Bogere scoring the third.

Villa have been accustomed to scoring an average of only a goal in the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) all season.

Actually, the Jogoos have now scored 19 goals, three of them coming on Wednesday.

They have scored the fewest goals among the top three.

No wonder Bbosa was relieved when they finally found the back of the net three times at home.

“It was important to get a positive result after the loss against KCCA,” said the Villa coach.

“Also getting three goals was important because we have struggled for goals all season.”

Table toppers Villa now open a one-point lead on Vipers, who face Maroons on Friday.

The Jogoos have 36 points, Vipers are on 35 while KCCA stay third on 33.

What will comfort manager Mike Mutebi’s KCCA is that they have one game in hand on Vipers and Villa.
