Express FC coach Wasswa Bbosa believes the club have never been organised heading into a new season like they are now.

Bbosa was speaking at the unveiling of the club new season skit, an event their sponsors Betway also extended their contract by a year.

“Even when we last won the league in 2012, there was not as much organisation as there is now,” said Bbosa.

“I have always been in charge of competitive teams usually finishing among the top four. That is what I bring to the table.

“So imagine what we can now do at Express where the conditions are the most favourable compared to all the clubs I have worked with!”

After taking charge of the last five games last season, Bbosa overhauled his side with18 new signings including Cranes central defended Murushid Jjuuko.

Betway’s one-year extension to the first sponsorship launched in 2018 comes with an increment of shs20m from the shs400m announced in 2018.

The deal will see Betway take over full kit sponsorship, stadium naming rights at Muteesa II stadium, player welfare, gym access and away-win bonuses.

“Betway Uganda understands sports development,” said Betway country manager Adellah Agaba Nyaruhuma.

“Our decision to extend the Express FC sponsorship contract is an indication of our faith in the club.

“We aim to continue to work to transform Express with the goal of making a title contender in the coming years.”

Express finished ninth on the 16-team log. Bbosa is target a top three finish in the 2020/21.
