Bobosi Byaruhanga is the 2021 Airtel Fufa Player of the Year after being crowned at Speke Resort Munyonyo on Saturday.
The Vipers and Uganda Cranes midfielder beat teammate Aziz Kayondo and Express’ forward Eric Kenzo Kambale to the award at the glamorous occasion attended by the Speaker of Parliament Jacob Oulanya among other guests.
In this year, Bobosi helped Vipers win the Stanbic Uganda Cup where he was MVP, won the CECAFA U-20 Championship with the Uganda Cubs and also won Silver at the Afcon U-20 championships helping Uganda to qualify for the first ever World Cup football competitions.

“I lost my father when I was young and school fees became a challenge. It is at this moment that I want to thank Mr. Justus Mugisha who got me from Kisoro and offered me a scholarship at Standard High School, Zzana,” said Bobosi while tears rolled down his cheeks.
He was also one of the two players along with Denis Iguma to play in all World Cup qualifiers for Uganda Cranes.
