Friday results

Onduparaka 0-1 Express

Mbarara City 1-0 Police

Wasswa Bbosa registered his first victory since his return as Express coach as the Red Eagles beat Onduparaka 1-0 away in Arua on Friday.

Frank Ssenyondo scored the only goal as the 10-man Red Eagles eased on their relegation fears

This was Express’ first win over the Caterpillars in seven attempts, and their maiden victory at the intimidating Green Light Stadium.

They played with untold dedication after midfielder Lawrence Kigonya was shown matching orders following a second bookable offence.

And the rewards came at the tail end, the Red Eagles midfielder Daniel Shabena disposing Denis Andama to set up substitute Ssenyondo for victory.

The victory, Bbosa’s first in two games, saw Express climb out of the red zone to 11th with 24 points from 21 matches.

At Kakyeka Stadium, Mbarara City saw off beat Police 1-0 with forward Brian Aheebwa netting the lone goal.
