Bright Stars punish Onduparaka

Saturday result

Onduparaka 1-3 Soltilo Bright Stars

Both Onduparaka and Soltilo Bright Stars are now safe despite the latter thrashing the former 3-1 at Green Light Stadium in Arua on Saturday.

Norman Ogik’s opening goal of the match on 46 minutes had seemingly put hosts Onduparaka on course to victory.

But Yasin Mugume immediately cast doubt onto that a minute later with an equaliser before Ibrahim Kasinde and a very late one from Nelson Senkatuka ensured a 3-1 away victory.

Emmanuel Loki of Bright Stars, who created two of the goals, won the Pilsner Man of the Match plaque and cash price of Shs100,000.

Onduparaka had come into this on the back of back-to-back defeats to Vipers SC and local rivals Arua Hill while the Stars had lost to KCCA and URA.

The Caterpillars are safe in 10th on 34 points, while Bright Stars are two places and a point below them with one game apiece to play.
