Bright Stars target SC Villa scalp

Saturday October 20

  • Bright Stars Vs SC Villa – Champions stadium, Mwererwe 4pm

SC Villa coach Moses Basena has demanded reaction from his boys who visit on form Bright Stars at the Champions Stadium, Mwererwe on Saturday.

The Jogoos come into the game on the back of a 1-0 loss at home to Onduparaka and the gaffer feels time is now to kick start the season.

“The motivation is that the team has to show reaction after we lost at home which was embarrassing,” he said.

The Jogoos are buoyed by the availability of midfielder Albert Mugisa who has been cleared to play but remain without Ashraf Mandela and Pius Wangi whose issues are still pending.

“We have Mugisa in the fold available for selection and we are hopeful our season starts tomorrow. We have to be effective in our way of playing and can’t complain about the pitch.

The hosts meanwhile have no complaints as they sit top of the log after two games with maximum points.

Nelson Senkatuka will be their go to man for goals while the visitors will hope Joseph Semujju, Bashir Mutanda and Ambrose Kirya are in mood on the day.
