- UPDF vs BUL – Military Grounds, Bombo
- SC Villa vs Arua Hill – Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku
Table leaders BUL will be desperate to open a six-point gap with victory over UPDF who they visit on Thursday at Bombo.
The early pacesetters have won all their six games so far and lead the table on 18 points, three adrift of second placed Kitara who are not in action until Friday away to URA.
However, BUL captain George Kasonko doesn’t expects a walk in the pack against a side that has only lost one home against despite being winless in three home fixtures.
“It’s a tough game against a tough side and that means we must do all it takes if we are to win,” Kasonko told the club media. “The past six games are now history and the most important fixture is the one in front of us and we shall treat it as a final,” he added.
UPDF beat Busoga United 2-0 away from home in their last outing and Pius Ngabo will hope his charges build on that.
BUL have a better head to head record against the army side with six wins against four in the previous twelve meetings and haven’t lost against UPDF in the past five games.
However, they have only managed one victory away to UPDF losing 3 and drawing twice with last season’s corresponding fixture ending in a 1-1 draw.
