BUL 2-0 Busoga United
BUL returned to winning ways on Friday, beating Busoga United 2-0 in a StarTimes Uganda Premier League match played at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.
Karim Ndugwa and Ibrahim Mugulusi scored BUL’s second half goals.
The victory, their fifth in eight matches, has the Jinja side within a point of leaders Wakiso Giants, who are on 18.
The latter have played one game more than second-placed BUL.
Busoga’s seventh defeat in nine matches keeps them second from bottom on three points.
BUL came into this game on the back of a 1-0 defeat to Express. They had to respond, here, and they did.
They went ahead on 65 minutes when Ndugwa headed home a beautiful delivery from Ronald Otti.
That was Ndugwa’s fifth goal of the season, bringing him level with joint top scorers Yunus Sentamu of Vipers and Express’ Allan Kayiwa.
Second half substitute Martin Aprem then teed up Mugulusi for BUL’s second goal on 72 minutes.
The league continues on Saturday with only one game involving URA and defending champions, Vipers SC.
