BUL dispatch UPDF to reclaim summit

Saturday result

BUL 3-1 UPDF

BUL maintained their 100 percent start to the 2022/23 StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) season when they made light work of UPDF in a 3-1 victory at the Fufa Techical Centre, Njeru on Saturday.

Forwards Karim Ndugwa, Richard Wandyaka and Frank Kalanda scored the goals for coach Alex Isabirye’s side to soar above the standings on six points, two above the closest bunch. Ibrahim Magandazi got UPDF’s consolation.

BUL made early noise with an emphatic 5-0 away victory over league newcomers Blacks Power last week. They have now scored eight goals in two matches, the most in the league after two match days.

Ndugwa put the hosts in the lead at the start of the second half, with Wandyaka doubling the advantage on the 63rd minute.

The stage was now ready for old broom Kalanda to open his BUL account thirteen minutes from full time. Magandazi’s late penalty for UPDF was inconsequential.
