Bul enlightened their chances of surviving relegation with a slim 2-1 win over JMC Hippos in the Jinja derby at Kakindu.

Yunus Sibira and Derrick Walulya scored for Bul who now move to 10^th on 26 points after 25 games, two points off safety.

Sibira put the visitors in the lead in the 44^th minute before Walulya made it 2-0 in the 69^th minute from a penalty after a foul in the area.

Moses Batali pulled one back for the hosts who stay at the base of the 16-team log with 10 points and failure to win any all their remaining fixtures will confirm the Hippos as a relegated side.

At Matugga, Bright Stars and Kirinya Jinja SS settled for a barren draw with the hosts adding a point to go on 28^th while the visitors are now 14^th with 24 points, one below safety.

The league returns on Friday with Vipers visiting Police at Namboole, Lweza host The Saints at Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku while URA takes on Express at Lugazi.
