UPDF 1-2 KCCA

StarTimes Uganda Premier League leaders, BUL FC, stretched their lead at the summit to six points following a narrow 1-0 victory over Busoga United on Thursday.

Striker Alex Kitata scored the game’s only goal on 31 minutes at the Fufa Technical Centre, Njeru as BUL registered their 10th win in 13 matches.

The victory moved coach Abbey Kikomeko’s men to 32 points, six and eight ahead of Kitara and Vipers SC respectively. Vipers have played one match fewer than the top two sides.

Busoga’s seventh defeat in 13 matches has them third from bottom on 12 points.

Elsewhere, KCCA beat 10-man UPDF 2-1 with goals from Ashraf Mugume and Filbert Obenchan in the 20th and 7oth minutes. 

Faridi Rashidi scored UPDF’s consolation in between at Bombo, with the soldiers’ bad day at office seeing Aggrey Kirya sent off after a second yellow card on 64 minutes.

KCCA’s only fifth win in 13 matches moves them two places up to eighth on 16 points, while UPDF are second from bottom on nine.
