UPL: The Only League That Matters

Bul pip 10-man SC Villa

Tuesday result

SC Villa 1-2 BUL

BUL went third on the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) table following a 2-1 victory over 10-man SC Villa at the Fufa Technical Centre, Njeru on Tuesday.

Striker Musa Esenu grabbed a brace, snuffing out any Villa drive early on.

The hosts woes were worsened by a red card to midfielder Oscar Mawa for rush challenge on BUL left-back Aggrey Madoi,

Villa pushed hard to try and salvage something from the game, and Sadam Ogwang’s 85th minute goal enhanced their hope.

But it only counted for a consolation as BUL held on for all three points.

Victory for BUL coach Alex Isabirye’s side sees them climb to third place on 13 points from six matches.

Coach Petros Koukouras’ Villa remain 13th on the log with just four points.
