Bul 2-0 Kyetume
Bul moved to within a point of leaders Vipers SC after a convincing 2-0 victory over Kyetume in a StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) match played at Fufa Technical Centre in Njeru on Friday.
This on the same day 16-time league champions SC Villa and URA could only settle for a 1-1 stalemate at Luzira.
Back at Bul, Denis Lubwama missed a second half penalty for Kyetume as the visitors suffered defeat.
By then Richard Wandyaka and Musa Esenu had already done the damage with first half goals for Bul who, improved to 23 points, one behind Vipers.
Defeat was the fifth for Kyetume, who remain on 13 points after 10 games.
In Luzira, two penalties were converted as SC Villa and URA played out an eventful 1-all draw.
Brian Majwega gave URA a 20th minute lead from the spot after Joachim Ojera went down in the box following a challenge from Yayo Lutimba.
The hosts also got their own in the final minute of added time when goalkeeper Nafian Alionzi brought down substitute Faizal Muwawu.
Ambrose Kirya kept his nerve to make it one-all from the spot.
The result moved Villa to 17 points, stretching their unbeaten run to nine games since the opening day 1-0 defeat to Kyetume.
URA are six points behind after drawing their fifth game from the nine played thus far.
