BUL 2-1 Wakiso Giants
BUL ended Wakiso Giants good run of form in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League with a 2-1 victory at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru on Friday.
Walter Ochora and Vincent Zziwa scored for BUL while Ambrose Arinda got Wakiso’s consolation.
The result moves fourth-placed BUL to 20 points, two behind leaders KCCA, who earlier beat Onduparaka 2-0.
Victory would have moved Wakiso above KCCA at the top but they stay second on 21 points, one behind the leaders having played one game more.
The Purple Sharks had only lost to KCCA on the opening day of the League coming into this one.
They have remained unbeaten since then until this Friday.
Defender Ochora headed BUL ahead on 58 minutes before Arinda leveled matters 78.
But Zziwa ensured of all three points for the hosts seven minutes from time.
At Mutesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku, hosts Express suffered again at the hands of Arua Hill, the side that beat them at the same venue on the opening day last season.
Isaac Ogwang scored the game’s only goal to ensure Arua Hill won all three games they have faced off with Express, including last season’s double over.
This was Express’ third successive defeat following losses to Soltilo Bright Stars and Wakiso Giants.
Victory takes Arua Hill to fifth on 16 points while Express are two places below on 14.
Elsewhere, URA and Blacks Power could only return a goalless draw.
