Busoga United 2-1 Bul

Busoga United came from a goal down to overcome rivals Bul 2-1 in a StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) clash played at the Mighty Arena in Jinja on Saturday.

Defender Musa Walangira headed home the opener off a Fredrick Kigozi beautiful frre-kick on 15 minutes before midfielder David Bagoole restored parity two minutes later.

The hosts then took the lead for the first time in the game on the stroke of half time when Man of the Match Lawrence Tezikya headed past goalkeeper Abdul Kimera off Dan Ssewava’s cross.

The result meant that Busoga had now completed a seasonal double over their local rivals having thrashed them 3-0 in the first round.

Bul have now failed to win any game in the five second round matches played while victors Busoga have won four wins of their five

This victory sees coach Abbey Bogere Kikomeko’s Bsoga displace Bul from sixth place on goal difference. Both clubs have 30 points apiece.
